Adding a Payment Method to a POS Register

Adding and customizing multiple payment methods for each POS register allows you to tailor payment options to suit your business needs. The Rewaa platform provides default options like cash and credit card payments, with the flexibility to add and assign additional methods to individual registers.

Adding a Payment Method to a Register

To add a payment method, ensure the POS register is closed.

⚠️ Closing the register will automatically generate a closure report after recording the collected amounts for each payment method. If possible, it is recommended to add the payment method after closing the register at the end of the day. Learn more about closing a register here.

Steps:

  • After closing the register, go to:
    Settings > Locations > ⚙️ > Edit Location

  • Under the Rewaa POS section:

    • Click the three dots next to the register.

    • Select Edit.

  • In the register details:

    • Select the payment methods you want to enable for this register.

  • Click Update Register.
    The payment method will be immediately available for use in the register.

      Go to the Home Page, scroll down, and click Collected Amounts under the active register.

  5. How can I verify that the payment methods have been added successfully?
    Payment methods will appear as options during the payment process. You can select the appropriate method to complete the transaction.

  6. How long does it take for the payment method to appear on the register?
    Payment methods are available immediately after being added.

  7. I added payment methods, but they don’t appear on the register. What should I do?

    Verify the register name where the payment method was added and repeat the steps if necessary.
