Sometimes, you may need to search for specific products in the product section to review their details. The search feature helps you quickly locate the desired product among your inventory. Additionally, you can customize the visible columns to display the information you need, such as product quantity, category, or weight, saving time and effort by avoiding the need to access each product's details individually.

Search for Products

To search for a specific product:

  • Navigate to: Products and Inventory > Products.

  • Use the search bar to look for products by:

    • Product name

    • Category

    • Supplier

    • SKU (Stock Keeping Unit)

    • Barcode

  • Click the 👁 icon to preview the product details.

Customize Columns

You can adjust the visible columns in the product list to display desired data, such as price, available quantity, or tax type. Here's how:

  • Click on Customize Columns.

  • Scroll down using the mouse wheel or move the scrollbar on the left of the list to view all options.

  • Uncheck data you don’t want to see and check the data you’d like to display.

  • Use the horizontal scrollbar at the bottom of the table to view all columns.

  • Set the number of rows displayed per page.

  • Use filters for each column, e.g., filter by category to view products in a specific category.

1. I can't remember the full product name or SKU. How can I search for it?
Enter part of the product name or SKU in the search bar to locate it.

2. I searched for a product name and found many with the same name. How can I differentiate them?
Click the 👁 icon in the actions column to view detailed information and identify the correct product.

3. Can I search for products by category name?
Yes, enter the category name in the search bar to display all products under that category.

4. Can I search for products using their barcode in the product list?
Yes, click on the search bar and scan the barcode with a barcode scanner to find the product.

5. If I customize columns in the main account, will the changes reflect in other user accounts?
Column customization applies only to the account where it was set and will not affect other user accounts.

6. Does customizing columns affect product data?
Customizing columns changes the display arrangement and does not impact the product data itself.

7. If I add an extra field to product details, will it appear in the columns?
Yes, you can select it in the columns following the same steps.

8. What does the creation date column represent?
The creation date is the date the product was added to the platform.

9. What does the channel column represent?
The channel indicates the e-commerce platform (e.g., Salla, Zid) linked to the product, showing the platform's name next to the associated product.

10. What is the difference between the product name and the Main product?

  • Product Name: The name displayed on the sales screen and printed on invoices and barcodes.

  • Main Product: The primary name of a variable product before adding options or variations.

11. Can cashiers search for and view product details on the sales screen?
Yes, based on their permissions. Add the product to the sales screen, click the arrow next to the product name, and select View Product Details.
