The Rewaa platform allows you to offer discounts to your customers, either as part of a promotional campaign or directly during a sale. Discounts can be applied to specific products or the total invoice amount. This article explains the steps to add a discount to the invoice total.
Steps to implement a Discount
1. Add Products to the Sales Screen
Once all products are added to the sales screen and before issuing the invoice, click on Discount Amount.
To Add a Fixed Amount Discount
Select the discount type: Fixed Amount Discount.
Enter the amount to be deducted from the invoice total.
Click the ✔ button.
ℹ️ By default, the discount type is set to a fixed amount (in currency).
The discount will be applied to the total invoice amount. Proceed to complete the invoice issuance process. Learn more about issuing invoices here.
To Add a Percentage Discount
Select the discount type: Percentage Discount.
Enter the percentage to be deducted from the invoice total.
Click the ✔ button.
The discount will be applied to the total invoice amount. Proceed to complete the invoice issuance process.
FAQ
1- Can I restrict user permissions for adding discounts to invoices?
Yes, you can set user permissions. Navigate to:
Settings > Users > ⚙️ > Edit User.
User Permissions > Applications > Rewaa POS > Disable the "Edit Price /Discount" option.
2- Can I add a discount to specific products and the total invoice simultaneously?
No, discounts can be applied either to specific products or the total invoice, but not both simultaneously.
3- Can I remove the discount before issuing the invoice?
Yes, click the 🗑️ icon to delete the added discount.
4- Can I limit the discount percentage for employees?
Yes, you can set a maximum discount percentage for employees. Navigate to:
Settings > Users > ⚙️ >Edit User.
User Permissions > Applications > Rewaa POS > Edit Price /Discount. Enter the percentage limit the employee cannot exceed.
5- I cannot apply a discount; the option is disabled in my account. Why?
If the discount option is unavailable, it means your account lacks the required permissions. Contact the primary account holder to review your permissions.
