Enabling Sales with Zero or Negative Stock Quantity

Occasionally, you might need to sell products that physically exist in your inventory but show a stock quantity of 0 or less in the platform’s product inventory. Rewaa allows you to enable this feature, letting you continue sales and issue invoices. When this option is activated, invoicing products will result in a negative stock quantity in the system.

Steps to Enable Sales with Zero or Negative Quantity

  • Navigate to:
    Sales and Customers > Sales Settings > Sales.

  • Enable the option Allow Sales with Zero or Negative Stock Quantity.

⚠️ If the accounting application is installed and this option is enabled, you must create an accounting entry when purchasing additional quantities at a different cost to reconcile the costs of sold products with zero or negative stock.

  • Click Save.
    You can now proceed to the sales register and issue invoices for products with zero or negative stock.

  1. Can I enable this option for only one product?
    No, this feature applies to all products with zero or negative stock in the sales screen once enabled.

  2. Can this option be applied to batch-tracked or serial-numbered products?
    No, this feature cannot be applied to tracked products.

  3. Can I enable this option temporarily for specific sales and disable it afterward?
    Yes, you can activate and deactivate this feature as needed.

  4. Can user permissions restrict access to this feature?
    Yes, you can manage user permissions to control access:

    • Navigate to Settings > Users > ⚙️ > Edit User

  • User Permissions > Applications > Rewaa POS.

  • Ensure the Sales Settings option is disabled for the selected user.

  • Click: Save Custom User.
