A customer is defined as the buyer of a product or the recipient of a service provided in exchange for payment. The Rewaa platform facilitates efficient customer management by enabling you to add all customers along with their details and track financial transactions with them accurately and effortlessly.

How to Add a New Customer on the Platform

  • Navigate to:
    Sales & Customers > Customers > New.

  • Enter the following details:

    • Customer Name:
      The customer's name will appear on the invoice when selected from the sales screen before issuing the invoice.

⚠️ The customer's name is a requirement for e-invoicing when issuing VAT invoices (Business to Business - B2B). It cannot be hidden from the invoice.

  • Code:
    A unique identifier that distinguishes the customer from others on the platform. This code cannot be duplicated.

    • You can create the code manually following your internal classification system or click Generate to allow the platform to create it automatically.

    • The code may include both numbers and letters.

⚠️ Once saved, the customer code cannot be edited.

  • Phone Number:
    The customer's phone number will appear on the invoice when their name is selected from the sales screen.

  • VAT Number:
    Required for e-invoicing when issuing VAT invoices (B2B).

  • Commercial Registration Number/National ID:
    Mandatory for e-invoicing when issuing VAT invoices (B2B). You must select one of these fields to include on invoices. Learn more here.

  • Custom Fields:
    This feature allows you to add custom fields based on your business needs. For example, if your business frequently runs advertising campaigns, you can add a dropdown field named "Customer Source" (e.g., YouTube Ads, Snapchat Ads, etc.). Learn more here.

  • Address:
    Required for e-invoicing when issuing VAT invoices (B2B).

  • Notes (Optional).

  • Click Save to add the customer to the customer list.


FAQ

1. What customer details are required for issuing VAT invoices (B2B)?
When issuing VAT invoices, ensure all mandatory details are included in the e-invoice to avoid violations. Add the following customer details:

  • Customer Name

  • Customer Address

  • Customer Tax Number

  • Additional Identifier (Commercial Registration or National ID)

⚠️ Once issued, VAT invoices cannot be deleted or modified per the Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority regulations. Verify all details before issuing an invoice. If a mistake occurs, the invoice must be reversed and reissued with the correct details.

2. Can I edit customer details after adding them?

3. Can multiple customers share the same phone number?
No, the platform only allows a phone number to be added once. Duplicate phone numbers are not permitted.

4. Is there a limit to the number of customers I can add?
No, you can add as many customers as you like. There is no upper limit.

5. Can I export the customer list to an Excel file?
