Managing Promotional Offers

Rewaa allows you to manage promotional offers effortlessly. You can modify, delete, deactivate, or check the status of each offer. Below are the details for managing promotions:

Promotion Status

Once a promotion is created, its status is determined based on the start date you set.

To view the status of promotions:

  1. Go to: Sales and Customers > Promotions.

  2. All added promotions will appear, and their status is displayed in the Status column.

Possible statuses:

  • Active: The promotion is active and applies to products in the cashier screen.

  • Ended: The promotion has expired.

  • Scheduled: The promotion is set for a future date and will activate automatically on the specified start date.

Customizing Columns

You can customize columns to display specific data, such as promotion type, status, start date, or end date.

  • Click on Customize Columns, check (✔) the data you want to display, and uncheck the data you don't need. Changes apply instantly.

Editing a Promotion

To edit or delete promotional offer details:

  1. Go to: Sales and Customers > Promotions.

  2. Search for the promotion name.

  3. Click the pencil icon (🖊️) in the Filter column.

  • Editable fields:

    • Promotion name.

    • End date and time.

    • Locations where the promotion applies.

  • Products included in the promotion.

    • Once edits are complete, click Save Changes.

Deleting a Promotion

Promotions can be deleted regardless of their status:

  1. From the promotions list, click the trash bin icon (🗑️).

  2. Important:

    • If a product under an active promotion is already in the cashier's sale basket, the cashier can complete the sale and issue the invoice with the applied discount.

    • If no products under the promotion are in the sale basket, the promotion is deleted immediately and will not apply to any future sales.

  • Click Delete Promotion to confirm.

Deactivating an Active Promotion

To stop an active promotion:

  • Click the pencil icon (🖊️) in the Filter column.

  • Set a new end date and time.

  • Click Save Changes.

ℹ️ If you select a past date, the promotion ends immediately, and its status changes to Expired.

ℹ️ If you select a future date, the promotion will end on the specified date and time.

Reactivating an Expired Promotion

To reactivate an expired promotion:

  • Go to the promotions list.

  • Click the pencil icon (🖊️) in the Filter column.

  • Update the end date and time.

  • Click Save Changes.

  • The promotion status changes to Active, and it applies in the cashier screen.


FAQ

1. Does deleting an expired promotion affect invoices and reports?
Deleting promotions does not affect previously issued invoices or reports.

2. How can I find currently active promotions?

  • Click the filter icon in the Status column.

  • Check (✔) Active and click Apply.

  • Active promotions will be displayed.

3. How can I filter promotions by type (e.g., discount on product price)?

  • Click the filter icon in the Promotion Type column.

  • Check (✔) the desired type and click Apply.

  • Promotions of the selected type will appear.

4. Can I delete all promotions at once?

  • Yes, check (✔) the box in the Promotion Name column to select all promotions.

  • Click Actions, then choose Delete.
