How to Manually Adjust Product Quantities in Rewaa

Learn how to enable the manual product quantity adjustment option when needed.

Rewaa provides the option to adjust product quantities manually, allowing you to update quantities directly without issuing a purchase invoice. You can enable this option if the Accounting App is not installed and you need to update quantities.

⚠️ Warning: In general, we do not recommend adjusting quantities manually to maintain accurate inventory records. Any addition or adjustment made without a purchase invoice will lead to:

  • Purchases not being included in the Tax Declaration Report.

  • Amounts not appearing in Purchases & Suppliers Reports.

Steps to Enable Manual Quantity Adjustment

  1. Go to Settings > Configuration.

  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page.

  3. Uncheck (✔) the option Disable editing the product quantity from the product detail without a formal invoice..

  4. Click Save.

  5. Select Confirm to complete the process.

To adjust a product quantity:

  1. Go to Products & Inventory > Products and click the product name.

  2. Go to the Quantity field and adjust it manually.

Assign User Permissions to Access Manual Quantity Adjustment

  1. Go to Settings > Users.

  2. Click the ⚙️ icon > Edit User.

  3. Go to User Permissions > Settings > Configuration Details.

  4. Disable the option as needed:

    • Read: User can view the manual adjustment option without enabling or disabling it.

    • Edit: User can enable or disable the manual adjustment option.

  5. Click Save Custom User.

ℹ️ Note: Configuration Details include all settings listed on the same page, such as Electronic Scale Integration, Tax Settings, and more.


FAQs

  1. Why can’t I manually adjust quantities after installing the Accounting App?
    Because all transactions are linked to the accounting system, and manual adjustments may cause accounting errors.

  2. Can I enable manual adjustment temporarily and then disable it again?
    Yes. You can enable it temporarily and disable it once you finish updating quantities.

  3. Can I apply the manual adjustment option to specific products only?
    No. Once enabled, the option applies to all products in inventory.

  4. Can I track which user adjusted product quantities manually?
    Yes. The user who made the adjustment will appear in: Dashboard > Logs.

  5. Is there a report that shows products adjusted manually?
    No. There isn’t a dedicated report for manual adjustments, but you can review them in: Dashboard > Logs.
