When managing your business, you need a report that provides insights into sales performance across branches, profit value, cost of goods sold (COGS), and other key metrics. Rewaa's Sales by Location Report enables you to access these details for a single branch or multiple branches, helping you identify high-performing locations and make data-driven decisions.
Accessing the Report
Go to: Reports > Sales > Sales by Location.
Click on the report to view its details.
You can filter branch-specific details by:
Location Name
Time Period (Start Date, End Date)
The report is divided into:
Location-specific Details: Provides individual branch performance data.
Summary Section: Displays overall totals based on the selected time period or applied filters.
Key Details in the Report
Location: Branch name.
Sales: Total sales invoices after deducting returns and discounts (excluding tax).
COGS: Direct cost of purchasing the sold items.
Profit Value: Sales (excluding tax) minus COGS.
Sales Tax: Total tax collected for the branch.
Sales (Including Tax): Total sales invoices after deducting returns and discounts (including tax).
Quantity Sold: The total number of items sold at the branch before deducting returns.
Example: Sold 3 items, returned 2 items — Quantity Sold will show as 3.Quantity Returned: Total number of items returned at the branch.
ℹ️ Returned quantities may exceed sold quantities if you allow returns from any branch within your business.
Exporting the Report
To export the report:
Click on the three dots on the right-hand side of the page.
Select xlsx to download the file in Excel format.
Once downloaded, open the file to review the data.

1. How can I compare the sales of two branches?
In the search field, type the name of the first branch and select it.
Type the name of the second branch and select it.
Click Update Filter. The report will show sales data for the selected branches only.
2. How can I identify the branch with the highest sales?
Check the Sales column for the branch with the highest figure.
To sort data by sales, click the arrow next to the word Sales:
If the arrow is pointing upward (^), the data is sorted from lowest to highest.
If the arrow is pointing downward (v), the data is sorted from highest to lowest.
3. Can I customize user access to this report?
Yes, follow these steps:
Yes. Go to Settings > Users > ⚙️> Edit User.
Under User Permissions, navigate to Reports > Report List > Enable Read.
Navigate to Sales Reports > Sales by Location > Enable the appropriate permissions for the user.
Click Save Custom User to apply the changes.
