The Sales by Channel Report is designed to analyze sales performance across all your sales channels, including Rewaa's POS (cashier) system and linked e-commerce platforms like Salla, Zid, and WooCommerce. This report helps evaluate the effectiveness of each channel by providing details such as sales, profit value, and other metrics. It also includes a summary based on the time period you specify.

Accessing the Sales by Channel Report

  1. Go to: Reports > Sales > Sales by Channel.

  2. Click on the report to view detailed data.

You can filter the report using the following fields:

  • Channel Name: Choose between Rewaa POS or any of the connected e-commerce platforms (e.g., Salla, Zid, WooCommerce).

  • Invoice Type: Specify the type of invoices to view.

  • Payment Status: Filter by payment status.

  • Customer Name: View sales associated with a specific customer.

  • Time Period: Start and end dates.

Report Insights

The report displays sales data for the selected time period, categorized by each sales channel. It includes the following details:

  • Channel: The channel where invoices were generated, e.g., Rewaa POS or connected e-commerce platforms.

  • Sales: Total sales invoices minus returns and discounts (excluding tax).

  • Cost of Goods Sold: Direct costs of purchasing sold products.

  • Gross Margin: Sales (excluding tax) minus COGS.

  • Sales (Tax Inclusive): Total sales invoices minus returns and discounts, including tax.

  • Sold Quantity: Number of products sold without deducting returns.
    Example: If 10 items were sold and 3 were returned, the quantity sold remains 10.

  • Returned Quantity: Number of products returned.

Exporting the Report

To export the report:

  1. Click the three dots in the top-right corner of the page.

  2. Select xlsx to download the report as an Excel file.


FAQs

  1. Will unlinking an e-commerce platform affect this report?
    Unlinking a platform like Salla, Zid, does not affect the data in this report.

  2. Why are some e-commerce orders missing from this report?
    Details for e-commerce platforms are reflected in sales reports only after invoices are generated for the orders via Rewaa. For instructions on generating invoices for e-commerce orders, click here.

  3. Can user access to this report be restricted?
    Yes, follow these steps:

    • Go to Settings > Users > ⚙️> Edit User

  • Under User Permissions, navigate to Reports > Report List > Enable Read.

  • Navigate to Sales Reports.

  • Go to the Sales by Channel, then enable the appropriate permissions for the user.

  • Click Save Custom User to apply the changes.
