Product Performance Report

The Product Performance Report helps you analyze the performance of each product individually. It enables you to identify top-performing and most profitable products, aiding in decision-making related to supplier purchases, promotional planning, and efficient inventory management.

Accessing the Report

  • Navigate to: Reports > Inventory > Product Performance Report.

  • You can search by product name, SKU, or filter the results by time period, branch, category, or supplier.

Report Sections

The report consists of two sections:

  • Summary Section: Displays a summary of product performance based on the selected time period or applied filters.

ℹ️ Data from deleted products in the inventory is not displayed or calculated.

ℹ️ This report does not include shipping fees or cash-on-delivery (COD) fees from integrated sales channels.

  • Product Details Section: Shows detailed information for each product.

ℹ️ The table contains multiple columns and data points. Use the scroll bar at the bottom of the table to view all available columns.

Report Details

The report includes the following data:

Product Name / SKU

Based on the information entered in the Products section.

Available Quantity Today

The total available product quantity in the inventory (This number is not affected by date filter or any other filters).

Supplier, Brand, Category

Details as defined in the product information under Inventory.

Location

The branch where the product was sold.

Sales

The sum of completed product sales {Tax Exclusive} while deducting the returns and discounts.

Cost of Goods Sold

The total cost of products sold in sales while deducting the total cost of products that got returned.

Gross Margin

Product Sales {Tax Exclusive} discounted from the total cost of goods sold.

Sales Tax

The total amount of sales tax collected for the selected product that is subjected to tax at all rates.

Sales (Tax Inclusive)

The sum of completed product sales {Tax Inclusive} while deducting the returns and discounts.

Markup

The difference between the Sales and the COGS, 'calculated by the difference between the Sales and the COGS and divide it with the COGS'.

(Sales - COGS) ÷ COGS

Margin %

The difference between the Sales and the COGS, 'calculated by the difference between the Sales and the COGS and divide it with the Sales'.

(Sales - COGS) ÷ Sales

Sold Quantity

The total quantity sold, without deducting returned quantities.

Example: Sold 10 units, 1 returned — the sold quantity remains 10.

Purchased Quantity

The total purchased product quantity using purchase invoices {Manual quantity adjustment is not considered in the calculation}.

Returned Quantity

The total quantity of products returned by customers.

Exporting the Report

  • To export the full details of the Product Performance Report: click on "Export" and choose (xlsx). The Excel file will be downloaded to your device

  • To export only the report summary, select Summary xlsx. The Excel file will be downloaded to your device.


FAQs

1- Can I view the sales of a specific product at a specific branch?

Yes, click the Filter option, select the branch, and click Apply.

2- How can I view the sales of all products across all branches since my first sale?

To view all sales details, leave all filter fields blank and search without applying any filters.

3- Can I view the sales for a specific category?

Yes, click the Filter option, choose the desired category under Product Category, then click Apply.

4- How can I identify the top-selling products?

Click the field below the search bar and select Top Selling First to sort products accordingly.

5- Can access to this report be restricted for users?
Yes, follow these steps:

  • Go to Settings > Users > ⚙️ > Edit User.

  • Navigate to User Permissions > Reports > Report List and enable Read.

  • Expand Inventory Reports and locate Product Performance.

  • Enable the necessary permissions.

  • Click Save Custom User to apply the changes.
