Tracking Information Report

The Tracking Information Report is designed for products tracked by batch numbers or serial numbers. Batch tracking is commonly used for goods produced or supplied together, such as food and pharmaceutical products, enabling the distinction of each batch with a unique number and facilitating stock management. Serial number tracking, on the other hand, is used for products like electronics and vehicles, where a unique identifier is assigned to each item for easy tracking. This report provides detailed information about these tracked products.

Accessing the Report

  • Navigate to:
    Reports > Inventory > Tracking Information.

  • Use the search fields to find specific products by name, SKU, batch number, or serial number.
    Additional filters include:

    • Time period

    • Tracking method

    • Product status

    • Supplier

    • Creation date

    • Expiry date.

Report Details

The report provides the following data for each tracked product:

  • Product Name: The name of the product.

  • Product Code (SKU): The product’s unique identifier.

  • Tracking Way: Batch or serial number.

  • Batch / Serial Id: Unique identifier for tracking.

  • Quantity: Available quantity in stock.

  • Status: Current status of the product (e.g., Available, Sold).

  • Expiry Date: Expiry date of the product.

  • Issue Date: The date the batch/serial was added.

  • Supplier: The product's supplier.

  • Location Name: The branch where the product is stored.

  • Expiry Status: Product validity (e.g., Valid, Expired).

Exporting the Report

To export the report:

  1. Click on the three dots in the top-right corner.

  2. Select xlsx.

  3. The file will download to your device for further review.


FAQs

1. How can I find expired or valid products?

Use the Expiry Status field to filter for either "Valid" or "Expired" products.

2. Is there a notification before a product's expiry date?

  • Yes, notifications appear in the alerts section:

    • 7 days before expiry

    • 1 day before expiry

    • On the expiry date itself.

3. Can user access to the Product Tracking Information Report be restricted?

  • Yes, follow these steps:

    • Go to Settings > Users > ⚙️ > Edit User.

  • Navigate to User Permissions > Reports > Report List and enable Read.

  • Expand Inventory Reports and locate Tracking Information.

  • Enable the necessary permissions.

  • Click Save Custom User to apply the changes.
