This helps decision-makers reduce costs, reallocate resources, and simplify budget preparation by offering insights into past spending patterns, leading to improved financial planning. Riwaa provides a report on top expense categories for a specified time period, enabling regular tracking and informed financial decisions.

Accessing the Expense Categories Report

  • Go to: Reports > Finance > Expense Categories Report.

  • Click on the report to view its details.

  • Specify the time period.

  • Choose the data arrangement method.

Information Available in the Report

The report provides the following details based on the selected time period:

  • Categories: Expense categories, e.g., Rent, Employee Salaries.

  • Number of Transactions: The number of times an expense was added under this category.

  • Average Transaction Amount: Calculated as (Total Expenses ÷ Number of Transactions).

  • Percent of Total: (Total Category Expense ÷ Total Expenses of All Categories) × 100.

  • Total Amount: Total expense for the category.

  • Totals: Aggregate of expenses across all categories.

Exporting the Expense Categories Report

  1. To export the report, click Export in the top left corner of the screen.

  2. Choose the desired file format (PDF or Excel) to download it to your device.

1. Can I display expenses for specific branches only?
The report aggregates data across all branches and does not allow filtering for specific branches.

2. How can I view detailed expenses for a specific category?

  • Navigate to: Accounting > Expenses > Expenses.

  • Use the Filter option to specify the category.

  • Click Apply to display results based on your selections.
