Table Number is a common term in the restaurant and café industry, used to streamline the process of serving orders to customers efficiently. Each table or seating area is assigned a specific number, which is included on the invoice to ensure accurate delivery of the order to the customer at their designated seating. The Rewaa platform allows you to create a custom field for table numbers, making it easier to use when issuing invoices and ensuring operational accuracy for a better customer experience.
Steps to Add a "Table Number" Field
Navigate to:
Settings > Custom Fields > New Custom Field.
Choose Module:
Sales Summary.
Add Field Name:
Table Number (This name will appear on the invoice).
Select Data Type:
Multi Select.
Mark as Required (Optional):
Enable the checkbox (✔️) for Required Field to prevent invoice issuance without selecting a table number.
Enable Print on Invoice:
Check the box (✔) for Print on Invoice.
Add Table Numbers:
Click Add Option and input the table numbers you have (e.g., 1, 2, 3, etc.).
Once all numbers are added, click Create Custom Field.
Cashier Workflow:
When the cashier issues an invoice from the point-of-sale system, they will see the additional fields option. They can select the table number from the dropdown list before completing the invoice.
Preview Field Before Adding
You can preview the field's appearance using the preview box on the left side of the page. Any changes made will be reflected in the preview, allowing you to confirm the final look of the field.
Editing the Field
You can modify the field's data after adding it, except for the section it was assigned to:
Click the edit icon (🖋).
Make the necessary changes.
Click Update Custom Field.
Deleting the Field
To delete the additional field:
Go to the additional fields list.
Click the delete icon (🗑️).
Confirm the deletion by clicking Delete. The field will be removed immediately.
