Creating custom reading and fundraising goals on Read for My School

Drive excitement by creating custom reading and fundraising goals for students participating in your fundraiser.

With Read for My School, you have options on how you want to customize your reading and fundraising goals.

Option 1: Set overall and individual goals for everyone supporting your fundraiser

As the administrator, you have the ability to easily set custom goals for everyone participating in your fundraiser. To do this, go to your FUNDRAISER SETTINGS page and click the EDIT button next to your fundraising goals option. Then, set your overall and individual reading and fundraising goals that work for your community needs.

Here are some examples:

Overall goals

  • Donation goal = $10,000 USD

  • Reading minutes goal = 100,000 reading minutes

  • Books Completed = 1,000 books (books goal is optional and can be turned off on your fundraiser options setting below

Individual student goals

  • Donation goal = $25

  • Reading minutes goal = 400 reading minutes

  • Books Completed = 5

TIP: Set your reading and fundraising goals so that they are both achievable and meet your community fundraising requirements.

Once set, these goals will be highlighted across all teams and individual supporters in your fundraiser.

Option 2: Set up custom reading and fundraising goals for a team

Need to set custom goals for a specific team or set of teams? No problem! Just click on your TEAMS ROSTER page, select your team for which you want to create custom goals. and click EDIT TEAM.

Next, on your team details page, create your custom reading and fundraising goals that are specific to readers who will register and join the team. Then, click the SAVE button and you are done!!

IMPORTANT: When you set up custom goals for a team, those goals will overwrite any goals you set up on your settings page (outlined in Option 1 above).

Option 3: Set up custom reading and fundraising goals for an individual student

Need to adjust your goals for certain registered students participating in your fundraiser? Just click on your STUDENT LEADERBOARD page and search for the student you want to set up custom goals for. Then, select EDIT PROFILE option.

Next, under the reader profile, edit their reading and fundraising goals and click the SAVE button. That's it!!!
