Live streaming on YouTube lets you engage with your audience in real time with a video feed, chat, and many other ways. All content featured in live streams must adhere to YouTube's Community Guidelines and Terms of Service. There are three types of streams:

  1. Mobile: Good for vlogging and quick update via your phone or tablet

  2. Webcam: Live stream from your computer using a webcam

  3. Encoder: Allow you to stream gameplay, overlays and use hardware like preamps, mics and cameras

In order to get started with live streaming, you need to have no live streaming restrictions in the past 90 days and you need to verify your channel. Full details on enabling this feature can be found on the YouTube Help Center.
