If you have never edited your YouTube channel URL, you are using the standard URL given by YouTube. The standard URL uses your unique channel ID which is comprised of a series of numbers and letters. A custom URL is easy to remember for both you and your audience, it will appear as youtube.com/yourcustomname or youtube.com/c/yourcustomname. It can be based on your brand, channel name or whatever else you see fit. In order to be eligible for this update, your channel must:

  • Have 100+ subscribers

  • Be at least 30 days old

  • Have an uploaded profile picture

  • Have an uploaded banner image
