Live streaming on YouTube allows you to engage with your audience in real-time in a variety of ways, such as a video feed or chat. All content featured in live streams must adhere to YouTube's Community Guidelines and Terms of Service. There are three types of transmission:

Mobile: good for vlogging and quick update via your phone or tablet
Webcam: live stream from your computer using a webcam
Encoder: Allows you to stream games, overlays and use hardware such as preamps, microphones and cameras

To start live streaming, you do not need to have live streaming restrictions for the last 90 days and need to check your channel. Full details on how to enable this feature can be found in the YouTube Help Center.
