The Rhumbix mobile app in Kiosk Mode is designed to make time tracking simple for crews using a shared jobsite device. This article gives a quick overview of what Kiosk Mode is, who it's built for, and how to get it up and running each day.
Kiosk Mode is most commonly used by teams who want to streamline clocking in and out without requiring each worker to have a mobile login. Workers with the "Worker" role don’t need to log into the app themselves—instead, they verify their identity on a shared device and use it to record time throughout the day.
🧰 What is CICO Kiosk?
CICO Kiosk is a shared-device option built into the Rhumbix app. It’s a great fit for jobsites where foremen or admins want to offer centralized access for time tracking. Once Kiosk Mode is turned on, any authorized worker can walk up, verify their identity, and clock in or out quickly.
It’s especially helpful for teams who don’t issue personal devices or want to avoid managing multiple app logins across the crew.
🚀 How to Enable Kiosk Mode
Foremen or site admins can activate Kiosk Mode from any licensed mobile device. Here's what that process looks like:
Open the Rhumbix App and tap CICO (bottom left corner).
Tap the three-dot menu in the top right corner.
3. Select Open Kiosk Mode.
4. Fill in the following details:
Foreman (defaults to the user currently logged in)
Project
Verification Type (PIN or QR Code)
Default Language
PIN / Verify PIN (this will be used to exit Kiosk Mode later)
5. Tap Enter Kiosk Mode to launch.
Once Kiosk Mode is active, it’s ready to go. Workers will:
Select their name from the list
Enter their PIN or scan their QR code
Verify their identity (with a photo if required)
Tap Clock In or Clock Out when needed
