Budget Cost Codes are essential for accurate Timekeeping entry. This guide walks you through how to enter Budget Cost Codes manually or upload them in bulk via CSV. Both methods live in your project’s Budget tab under Project Settings.

πŸ“‚ Accessing the Budget Cost Codes Page

Before entering any Budget Cost Codes, make sure you’re working under the correct project.

  1. Navigate to Project Settings > Budget in your Rhumbix Dashboard.

  2. When you first land on the page, the right-hand rail will automatically prompt you to select a project.

  3. To switch projects later, click the blue filter bar at the top of the page to re-open the project selector.

✍️ Manually Adding Budget Cost Codes

Manually adding cost codes is definitely an option. If you're only entering a couple of codes, it may be easier to add them directly rather than completing an upload fileβ€”but both methods are always available.

  1. Go to Project Settings > Budget.

  2. Select the project you want to update.

  3. Click + Add Row at the top of the list.

  4. Enter your cost code info in the red (required) fields:

    • Cost Code* – Code name for the specific task.

    • Description – Optional detail about the task.

    • Cost Code Group – Optional category.

    • Budget Quantity

    • Unit of Measurement (UoM) – E.g., SF, CY, lbs, HR.

    • Budget Hours

Once saved, your new codes will appear in the list below. Use the search bar or column headers to sort and find specific entries.
