This article walks you through how the ability to display shift extras and modifiers works, how to enable them, and what your team will see.
🛠 How It Works
The visibility of Shift Extras and Modifiers on the signature screens is controlled at two levels:
Modifier or Shift Extra settings: Decide whether each individual Modifier or Shift Extra should be displayed on signatures.
Project settings: Choose if your project will show these items when workers sign their timecards.
By default, displays are off for all projects and all Modifiers/Shift Extras.
⚙️ Enabling Displays in Company Settings
You can set the default visibility for new projects from Company Settings > Timekeeping > Shift Extras and Company Settings > Timekeeping > Modifiers.
To enable a Shift Extra or Modifier for signatures:
Go to Company Settings.
Select Shift Extras or Timekeeping Modifiers.
Find the item you want to display.
Toggle Display on Signature Screen to ON.
🏗️ Controlling Visibility Per Project
Once you’ve turned on display for specific Shift Extras or Modifiers, you can decide which projects will show them.
To enable displays for a project:
Go to Company Settings.
Select Projects.
Select Modify.
Scroll down to the Signatures section.
Select Display Shift Extras and/or Display Modifiers to enable.
📝 What Workers See
When enabled, Shift Extras and Modifiers will appear on both Daily and Weekly signatures.
✅ Daily Signature Example
Workers see the list of Shift Extras and Modifiers for that day’s timecard before signing.
✅ Weekly Signature Example
When signing for a week, workers see any Shift Extras and Modifiers applied across the week.
If a timecard only contains Shift Extras, workers can still sign for it.
🌐 Language Support
At this time, we do not support Spanish translations for Shift Extra and Modifier labels. These items will display in English on the signature screens.
