Rhumbix allows you to bulk upload your cost codes, budgets, employees, equipment, and materials via CSV. Instructions and more information about uploading CSV files can be found on the below support pages.

If there are errors in your file a screen will pop up to describe the errors, a few common errors include:

  • Wrong File Type: upload files need to be CSV files so be sure to save the file as CSV and not another excel format

  • Missing Required Headers: Your headers do not match those on the template. This can be solved by re-downloading the template and copy the proper headers into your file.

  • Field is Required: This error signifies that there are missing fields without information. On the CSV file, you'll see that headers with an Asterisk (*) are required fields. Below are the required fields for each upload type, without these fields your upload will be rejected.

    • Team Members: Employee ID, First Name and Last Name

      • Admin, Payroll Admin, PM, Office Staff Roles: email

      • Foreman Role: email and phone

    • Cost Codes/ Budget: Cost Code

    • Equipment: Equipment ID, Type and Description

    • Materials: Material Name, Units, Unit Price.

  • A Valid Number is Required: The cost code / budget upload requires numerical inputs for budgeted hours and quantities. If it detects other values your upload will be rejected with this error message.

Once your errors are fixed, you can re-upload the CSV File to successfully import your account information!
