Rhumbix offers the ability to add custom text fields to various entities within the platform, allowing you to tailor the system to better fit your organization’s needs. These custom fields can be used just like the built-in fields and are available across multiple functionalities within the platform.
Entities You Can Customize:
Employees: Add custom text fields to capture additional employee-specific information.
Projects: Customize project details with fields unique to your project management needs.
Cost Codes: Track and categorize costs more effectively by adding custom fields to cost codes.

How to Add Custom Text Fields
1. Contact Rhumbix Support
Currently, the configuration of new custom fields must be done by Rhumbix. To add custom text fields, please contact our Support Team at support@rhumbix.com or reach out to your Professional Services Consultant (PSC). They will assist you in setting up the fields according to your requirements.
2. Specify Your Requirements
When contacting support, be sure to provide the following details:
Entity: Specify which entity (Employees, Projects, Cost Codes, Materials, or Equipment) the custom fields should be added to.
Field Names: Provide the names of the custom fields you need.
Usage: Describe how you intend to use these fields so that we can ensure proper integration into your existing workflows.
Where Custom Fields Are Available
Once configured, custom text fields will be fully integrated and available in the following areas of the Rhumbix platform:
Settings Pages and Right-Rails: Manage and view custom fields directly within the appropriate settings pages and right-rails.
CSV Import/Export: Custom fields are included in the CSV import/export functionality, making bulk data management straightforward and efficient.
Public API: Access and manipulate custom fields through the Rhumbix Public API, allowing for seamless integration with other systems.
Existing Filtering in Right Rails and Weekly View: Utilize custom fields as filters in the right rails and Weekly View, enhancing data organization and retrieval.
Data Explorer: Custom fields are fully supported in Data Explorer, enabling you to create detailed and customized reports and dashboards.
