Can I bring a child to a PADL rental?

Age requirements for self-service rentals, when minors can participate, and how to complete the waiver process for a child at a self-service station.

Written by Joey Allgood

PADL's age requirements depend on the type of experience — self-service or staffed.

Self-service stations (app rentals)

The account holder renting at a self-service station must be 18 or older. Adults may rent on behalf of a minor under their account, but a parent or legal guardian waiver must be completed and approved before the rental takes place.

To request approval for a minor at a self-service station:

  1. Complete the minor waiver at the link below

  2. Submit it to our team for approval

  3. Once approved, the adult may rent equipment under their account for the minor

Waiver approval is required before the rental — please submit in advance and allow time for our team to review.

Club locations and tours

Adults may bring minors to full-service club locations and tours. Our on-site team will be there to assist and ensure everyone is properly equipped, including life jackets.
