Before you can use the PADL app for the first time, you'll be asked to complete a paddler safety attestation. This is a mandatory requirement — it cannot be skipped.
What is it?
The attestation is a Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) paddler safety requirement. It's a 23-screen in-app flow where you confirm that you've read and understood the paddler safety rules that apply to all watercraft in Florida.
Why does PADL require it?
PADL does not create or administer the attestation content — it is a state safety requirement that all paddle sport operators in Florida must comply with. We're required by law to ensure every renter has read and acknowledged the rules before getting on the water.
Can I skip it?
No — the attestation must be completed in full before you can proceed with a rental. It is only required once, on your first use of the app.
