How to track and leave comments on a report

Here’s how to easily and quickly track the review stages of an Expense Report on Rindegastos’ web platform.

When can I leave comments on a report or expense?

As an Approver, you can always leave comments on reports, whether you approve the expenses or not. This is especially important when an expense has incorrect information, and the Report is returned to the Submitter. The history will allow the Submitter to see what changes they need to make so the expenses can be reviewed and approved later or understand why an expense was rejected.

How do I review the history of a report?

Reviewing the history of a Report is easy. Just follow these steps:

  1. From the "Approver" menu, select “Reports.”

  2. Go to "Reviewed" to see all the Reports you’ve already reviewed or "To Review" to see all the Reports you have available.

  3. Click on the title of the Report you want to view.

  4. Once inside the Report, click the "History" button at the top.

  5. In the Report’s history, you can see all events related to the Report and expenses.

That’s it! Checking the history of a Report waiting for your approval is very simple.

How to add a comment to a report?

To add comments to your reports, follow these easy steps:

  1. From the "Approver" menu, select “Reports.”

  2. Go to "Reviewed" or "To Review."

  3. Click on the title of the Report you want to view.

  4. Once inside the Report, click "History" at the top.

  5. In the Report’s history, you can write a note or comment without needing to approve or reject the expense or report, then click "Send Message."

  6. If you are rejecting an expense, you must leave a comment explaining why the expense was rejected. If you are approving the expense, leaving a comment is optional.

  7. At the end of the Report review, you can leave an optional comment and then click "Finalize Report."

That’s it! Adding and sending comments on a Report is very straightforward and helps maintain communication between the Submitter and Approver.
