How to edit or delete categories?

Here’s how to quickly and easily modify or delete your categories on Rindegastos’ web platform.

How to edit a category?

Editing a category after it’s been created is very simple. Just follow these steps:

  1. From the "Administrator" menu, select “Policies.”

  2. Here, you'll see a list of all the active policies in your company.

  3. Use the filter to find the policy where you want to edit categories.

  4. Click on the policy name to open it.

  5. In "Settings," go to “Categories.”

  6. You’ll see a table with all the categories created for the policy.

  7. In the "Actions" column, click on the pencil icon to edit.

  8. You can edit the category name, accounting account, optional fields, and instructions.

  9. Finally, “Save Changes.”

That’s it! You’ve quickly edited the categories.

How to delete a category?

You can delete categories that were created by mistake or are no longer in use by following these simple steps:

  1. From the "Administrator" menu, select “Policies.”

  2. Here, you'll see a list of all the active policies in your company.

  3. Use the filter to find the policy where you want to delete categories.

  4. Click on the policy name to open it.

  5. In "Settings," go to “Categories.”

  6. You’ll see a table with all the categories created for the policy.

  7. In the "Actions" column, click on the trash can icon to delete.

  8. Confirm you want to delete the category by clicking “Delete.”

That’s it! The category has been deleted and this process cannot be undone.
