How much contents cover do I need?

You should have enough cover to replace everything in your home, including items you take out with you.

A good approach is to walk through your home room by room and estimate the value of everything as per room (both visible and stored items). This includes:

  • Furniture, curtains, and rugs

  • Electronics (phones, laptops, TVs, etc.)

  • White goods, cutlery, crockery, pots & pans

  • Clothing, shoes, books, trinkets, and sports equipment

Think in terms of a worst-case scenario. What would it cost to replace everything today?

Important: Valuable items such as jewellery, watches, fine art, antiques, collectibles, and guns are not included in the general contents sum insured, these items are covered under a separate section of the same policy.
