In Rivur, there are two ways to remove Members (aka people or users) from your Organization. We recommend you use DEACTIVATE not DELETE.
Members are viewed and managed by Organization Administrators on the Organization Settings page.
Deactivate
Deactivating a Member preserves the account, but prohibits that user from accessing Rivur with those credentials. The account still exists, but cannot log in. It is best practice to Deactivate Organization members as this preserves the relationships of that user to projects so you can still see/track/maintain access to those projects that user was related to.
To Deactivate a Member, select the circle strikethrough icon next to their name.
When a Member is Deactivated, the Status displayed in the Members list will change to "Inactive" and the icons next to their name will be a circled check mark (Reactivate) and a trash can (Delete).
Reactivate!
Deactivated Members can be Re-Activated. This is another benefit of using Deactivate and not Delete. Reactivated members will be fully functional exactly as they were prior to Deactivation.
To Reactivate a Member, select the circled check mark icon next to their name.
Delete
Deleting is the most severe method for removing Members and is permanent. Deleted Members are removed from Rivur and they no longer have an account on the platform. Deleting a Member will eliminate all Project assignments for that Member.
Activity History & Deletions
Rivur maintains a detailed log of user activities. Deleting a Member will NOT delete the Activity History.
To Delete a Member, select the trash can icon next to their name. Rivur will display an additional confirmation you must click prior to actual deletion.
REMINDER: THERE IS NO GOING BACK AFTER A DELETE!!!!
When in doubt, Deactivate first, then Delete second.
