Steps to Fix Duplicate SMS Issues on iOS

  1. Turn off iMessage:

    • Go to Settings > Messages and turn off iMessage.

  2. Restart Your Phone:

    • Press and hold the power button until you see the restart option, then restart your phone.

  3. Confirm Your Phone Number:

    • Go to Settings > Phone > My Number and check if the number is correct.

    • If it’s incorrect, enter the correct number.

  4. Turn iMessage Back On:

    • Go to Settings > Messages and turn iMessage back on.

  5. Check Message Settings:

    • Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and ensure the correct number is displayed under “Start new conversations from.”
