What is the Group Discount?
With Rocket Mobile’s Group Discount, you can save on your mobile plan when you have two or more eligible plans grouped together. It’s perfect for families, friends, or anyone looking to reduce their mobile bills.
Discounts require 2+ eligible plans in the group.
All invitations must be accepted to activate discounts.
Group leaders can manage invites but don’t have access to other members' details.
Adding Connections to Your Group
1. Adding Existing Connections on Your Account
Go to MyAccount > Mobile Groups.
Invite a connection by entering their phone number and name.
Switch to the invited connection’s account to accept the invitation.

Return to the Mobile tab, click the 🔃 icon
Select the other account (i.e. the one you sent the invite to).
Go into the My Rocket tab, go into Mobile Groups.
Look under Invites and accept the invitation you sent

Return to the Home screen, click the 🔃 icon at the top next to your number.
Select the other account (i.e. the one you sent the invite to).
Tap the menu icon, then My Rocket → Mobile Groups.
Tap the 📥 icon in the top right corner to find and accept the invitation
💡 Tip: Your discount starts from the next bill.
2. Adding New Connections on Your Account
Order a New SIM via MyAccount > Mobile Groups > Invite New Member.
Complete the order process. The SIM will join your group once activated.
3. Adding Connections from Another Rocket Mobile Account
Invite the connection by entering their phone number in MyAccount > Mobile Groups.
Ensure they accept the invitation in their account.

If you’re part of a group and two or more connections are eligible plans, every connection will enjoy a discount from their next billing cycle.
i.e. There needs to be 2+ connections on eligible plans for every member to get the discounted price.

Go into the Mobile Groups section (under My Rocket) of your MyAccount or app, and start inviting other Rocket Mobile connections to your group by entering their phone number. Your group will be formed after the first connection you invite accepts, and the discount will apply from the next bill.
Important: You need to tell the person you’ve invited them yourself, as they won’t know otherwise. Get them to accept their invite from you before your next bill to start saving ASAP.

Each group member is billed as per usual as when they’re not in a group, however any group discounts will only be applied in the following billing month from when you form or join a group, and there are 2+ connections with active eligible plans.

If you’ve just joined Rocket Mobile:
If you’re only buying one plan, you’ll need to activate your plan and pay for your first month at the regular price, before you can join a group by inviting or accepting an invite.
You’ll need to fill out this form to get a credit for the discount on your first bill. The discount’s automatically applied from the following bill onwards.
If you’re buying more than one plan in one go, your group will automatically be formed during your purchase and you’ll enjoy your group discount as soon as you activate
There also needs to be two or more eligible plans in your group before your billing date for the discount to be applied.

You will no longer receive the group discount in your next bill. Remaining group members on eligible plans will still receive the discount if there are two or more eligible plans left in the group.
If there is only one other connection left, then the group will be dissolved and all group discounts will end. If there are still two or more connections remaining, the discount will remain for connections still in the group, and the first person who joined the group will become the group leader.

If you already receive a monthly discount on your plan, you can still join a group but you won’t get any further discounts on your plan. You cannot stack discounts, only one can apply at a time. We’ll make sure you get the lowest price that you’re eligible for, whether it’s the group discounted price or your original discounted price.

If you currently receive a group discount on an eligible plan and then change to an ineligible plan, you will no longer receive the group discount, and other group members will also stop receiving the discount if there are fewer than two group members on eligible plans.

All group members get the discount they’re eligible for, as long as there are at least two eligible plans in the group.
That means the group leader doesn’t have to pay full price while only members (companions) get the discounted price, meaning the leader has to awkwardly ask for money back to make it fair across the group.

What info can the group leader see about other members?

A group leader can only see the other members’ phone number, customer number and name. They cannot see any usage or payment information.
An exception to this is if the group leader also manages the account of a group member, e.g. a parent managing their child’s connection.
