Setting Up An AI Agent

Everything you need to know to setup your own AI Agents

  1. Agent Name Field: Enter a descriptive name (e.g., "RFP Chat Agent")

  2. Selecting a Base Model

    1. Choose from options like Rolai, GPT, Claude, etc.

    2. Selection determines your agent's capabilities and performance (See Models if you need assistance)

  3. Adding a Description

    1. Enter a brief summary of what your agent does

    2. Use the "Generate" button (sparkle icon) for automatic description

  4. Writing Agent Instructions

    1. Provide detailed guidance in the large text area

    2. Specify purpose, tasks, response types, limitations, and output format

    3. Refer to our Best Practices page for more help

  5. Conversation Starters

    1. Simple questions or ideas to help start a conversation with the Agent

    2. You can add multiple conversation starters to the Agent you are creating

  6. Configuring Agent Capabilities

    1. Chat with Documents: For referencing uploaded files

    2. Web browsing: For internet searches

    3. Code Interpreter and Data Analysis: For coding and data tasks

  7. Adding Knowledge Sources

    1. Upload relevant files (PDFs, txt, docx, doc, pptx, xlsx, and xls)

    2. These documents provide context for the agent to refer to

  8. Testing Your Agent

    1. Use the preview panel to test before finalizing

    2. Try different scenarios to ensure proper functionality

    3. Adjust your Instructions or Model and retest to iterate on your design

  9. Finalizing Your Agent

    1. Click "Create" to save and add to your agents list

    2. Access from the Chat (under models/my agents) or the Agents section afterward
