Accessing Custom Fields
Step 1: Navigate to the sidebar.
Step 2: Select the Custom Fields option within your company settings.
Creating Custom Fields
Step 1: Navigate to the Custom Fields page.
Step 2: Click on Create.
Step 3: Choose from a list of options depending on the type of custom field you want to create. Options include a free form text field, a number, a currency amount, a drop down, and more.
Step 4: Edit the name of the field.
Step 5 (Optional): For Dropdown fields, add any options to make available from the dropdown.
Step 6: For Formula fields, enter in the desired formula.
Step 7: Confirm and save.
Editing Custom Fields
Edit existing fields by clicking on the drop down and selecting Edit.
Using Custom Fields
Navigate to the transactions page. The custom fields created are now editable within this page.
The custom fields are also visible and editable from the side panel when reviewing a transaction.
Creating Line Item Custom Fields
Custom fields can also be added for category or account line items within transactions. Creating and editing follows the same steps as creating or editing transaction custom fields.
Using Line Item Custom Fields
Line item custom fields can be viewed and edited from the sidebar within the transaction breakdown.
