User Guide: "Challenges" feature in your RookLeague. All you need to know.

Instructions on how to get started with the "Challenges" feature in you RookLeague

  1. In your RookLeague, go to the "Challenges" module.

  2. Select Create Challenge.

  3. Please enter the following data:

    1. Challenge name

    2. Challenge description

    3. Challenge type:

      1. Individual : You will be able to select 2 modalities:

        1. By user: You will be able to select all the users you want to participate in this challenge manually or by checking the box "Select all users".

        2. By room: You will be able to select which room you want to add to the challenge. *Your room must be previously created.

          It is not necessary to add users, since it will depend on who enters the room you added to the challenge. Once the user enters the room that has been assigned to the challenge, he or she will count as associated to the challenge and it will be add to the metrics of this challenge.

      2. Groups : You will be able to select 2 modalities

        1. By room : You will be able to select which rooms you want to participate in this challenge. *Your rooms must be previously created.

          It is not necessary to add users, since the users will be join automatically the challenge depending oh which room they enter. You can have several rooms competing with each other. Once the user enters the room that has the assigned challenge he or she will count as associated to the challenge and will be adding to the metrics of this challenge.

        2. By team : You will define the teams that you want to participate in the challenge, selecting each user manually or by checking the "Select all users" option.

          Once you have selected the participants, you must select in which team you want them to compete.

          You can do this manually or randomly by clicking on "Random".

          *You can create up to 4 teams.

    4. Completion:

      1. Competitive: In this mode, you must set clear goals to achieve the objectives, "reach a specific number of calories, be a defined time in a certain intensity zone, etc.". And when the first user completes all the challenges set, he/she will be the winner. In the case of not being able to complete the challenge, the participant who has been closest to completing the objectives will win.

      2. Free: By selecting this mode you are not setting a limit, the winner will be the one who has the highest score for the selected objective. For example, the one who has accumulated more calories, the one who has been in some zone, etc. It is important to mention that you can select more than one objective.

    5. Select starting date and ending date

  4. Click on Create Challenge.

  5. Once you have created it, select visualize challenge.

  6. Click on "View Goals" and select "Create Goal".

    You can create different goals:

    - By Calories

    - By Steps / Jumps

    - Number of Trainings

    - Amount of RookRemote Trainings

    - Number of minutes in each of the intensity zones

    *You can create 2 or more objectives of each type. As long as they do not have the same goal.

  7. Select the goal target and the points you will earn for reaching the goal. The points allow you to define which goals are worth more or less in order to incentivise certain objectives. And you might want to rewards the person or team receiving most points or finishing first the challenge.

  8. Click on "Create Goal".

  9. That's it, you have created your challenge!

Ranking

  • The challenges module includes a Ranking of users who have participated or are participating in a challenge.

  • It shows the medals they have obtained and the challenges they have participated in and completed.

  • The number of medals determines the position in the ranking:

    • Gold medal - worth 4 points

    • Silver medal - worth 2 points

    • Bronze medal - worth 1 point

    To win a medal, the participants must obtain 1st, 2nd or 3rd place at the end of a challenge.

Your users will be able to see their challenges and progress in their applications.
