What is Excess Protection? š¤
When you make a claim on your car insurance, you have to pay your excess ā thatās your share of the cost, usually between Ā£300 and Ā£1,000 depending on your policy. This can include both the compulsory excess (set by the insurer) and any voluntary excess youāve chosen.
Excess Protection is an optional add-on that gives you that money back. šø If you pay your excess after a claim, this cover will refund it once your main insurer has settled, up to the limit youāve chosen.
How much does it cost? š·
Ā£300 excess cover ā Ā£27.99/year (Ā£2.79/month)
Ā£500 excess cover ā Ā£29.99/year (Ā£2.99/month)
