Policy excess protection

An optional add on that gives you your excess back!

Updated over a month ago

What is Excess Protection? 🤔

When you make a claim on your car insurance, you have to pay your excess – that’s your share of the cost, usually between £300 and £1,000 depending on your policy. This can include both the compulsory excess (set by the insurer) and any voluntary excess you’ve chosen.

Excess Protection is an optional add-on that gives you that money back. 💸 If you pay your excess after a claim, this cover will refund it once your main insurer has settled, up to the limit you’ve chosen.

How much does it cost? 💷

  • £300 excess cover → £27.99/year (£2.79/month)

  • £500 excess cover → £29.99/year (£2.99/month)

  • £750 excess cover → £34.99/year (£3.49/month)

  • £1,000 excess cover → £42.99/year (£4.29/month)

Peace of mind 🙌
It’s simple protection against being left out of pocket if you ever need to claim — whether that’s your compulsory or voluntary excess, or a mix of both.
