What’s changing

If your car was first registered between 1 March 2001 and 31 March 2017, your tax still depends on CO2 emissions.

For most petrol and diesel cars first registered on or after 1 April 2017, the standard annual rate rises from £195 to £200.

Some older higher emission cars will pay up to £790 a year from April.

Not sure what band your car is in?

Open Rooster, open My Garage and check your CO2 to see what your new tax rate could be.
