What are my options if my car is deemed a total loss?

We hope none of our customers are involved in an accident, especially one that results in a total loss of your car. However, in the event your car is damaged and declared a total loss, you have 2 options:

  • Allow your car to be taken away for scrap and then insure a new car onto your existing policy;

  • Keep your car and have it repaired & have an engineers report to ascertain if your car is roadworthy again before we can reinsure it again.

Please note, if you are deemed at fault during the life of your policy, you will need to pay the full remaining premium on your policy, even if you decide to cancel your policy early.
