Rootabl does NOT currently offer a tier 2 or multi-tier affiliate program at this time.
A tier 2 affiliate program is where your affiliates can refer other affiliates to also promote your offers, and they earn a small percentage of what those new affiliates drive for revenue.
It looks something like this:
Sally refers Bob to become an affiliate for Offer A.
Bob sells $1,000 worth of Offer A and earns 40% commission.
And since Sally referred Bob to be an affiliate, Sally earns 10% on the sales Bob brought in.
So Bob gets paid $400 and Sally gets paid $100.
Why haven't we prioritized building this?
In my decade of experience running some of the biggest affiliate programs in the world for creators... tier 2 has barely moved the needle when it comes to affiliate revenue generated.
I know that others may have had different experiences and I'm always open to hearing that it works really well for some people, but with the types of businesses we work with (where real relationships to the creators & offers really matter), it just hasn't been the most important element.
I'm always asking: what is going to help our affiliates and businesses be the most effective in the simplest way possible?
Tier 2 was not in that category, so we chose to not build it. It could still happen in the future, but we've got other things on our features list first!
