Mini patches (12 sq m) are perfect for beginners who want to get involved in the grow your own movement. You’ll be able to learn new skills and gain knowledge without feeling overwhelmed. There’s enough space to grow up to 1 of your 5 a day on this patch.

Starter patches (36 sq m) are designed for solo growers looking to develop their green fingers. You’ll practice new skills while enjoying a good-sized patch of land, with enough space to grow up to 2 of your 5 a day.

An example of what you can grow from a Starter patch for £219.89 per year includes an estimated total of £1,165 worth of produce! Here’s what you can expect:

  • £50 of courgettes (2 plants, 5-6 courgettes per week)

  • £50 of garlic (50-60 cloves planted)

  • £35 of leeks (35 plants)

  • £400 of salad (3 seasonal sowings of 10 for pick and come again)

  • £60 of potatoes (second early salads)

  • £40 of cucumbers (2-3 outdoor plants)
