How to Create a (Regular) Paid Event

Used for one-time events, in-person or virtual - best for concerts, festivals and shows.

It is absolutely free to create an event page on Row One and it only takes a couple of minutes to set up.

Once your basic event details are saved, you will be able to access advanced settings to manage and promote your event.

To Create a Regular Paid Event and Sell Tickets:

Step by Step Guide:

1. Log-in or sign up to your Row One account and click the 'Create Event' button located at the top of your screen.

2. You will be re-directed to the organiser dashboard. From there, click the 'Events' tab.

3. In the Events tab, click 'Create Event'.

4. Click 'Choose Type' to select 'Paid Event' and click 'Save And Continue'.

5. You will be brought to the Paid Event creation form. Enter your event details here.

  • Event Name: Enter the name of your event. The field is limited to a maximum of 75 characters.

  • Thumbnail / Banner Image: Upload your event images.

  • Private / Public: By default, your event is listed as 'Private', which means that only people with the event URL can see your event page. If you would like your event to be public, you can set your event to 'Public' and will be searchable through Row One's directory and search engines.

  • Event Type: Select 'Regular' for one-time events - usually used for concerts or festivals.

  • Date & Time: Use the date picker to set your event's start and end times. Use the 'time zone' function to set the time zone your event will follow.

  • Event Slug: Customise your event URL. The field is limited to a maximum of 20 characters.

  • Event Location: Enter the address of your event. This will show on your event page. If it's a virtual event, upload the virtual link.

  • Add Description: Include any details you would like your attendees to know and set expectations/restrictions.

  • Currency Options: Click on the currency to open a dropdown menu and change either the currency a buyer pays in or the currency you will receive funds in.

  • Choose Designed Seatmap: Select your pre-designed seatmap from the seatmap creator. From there input your price of each ticket category

  • Selling Behaviour: Decide the way you would want your tickets to be sold.

  • Ticket Sales: Set the number of ticket sales available, customise the type of sale, sale name, sale time and set the maximum of tickets allowed to be sold for each sale.

  • Ticket Design: Select pre-set QR ticket for your event. Should you wish to customise the design of your ticket, you can do so via our tickets designer.

  • Availability: Decide where will you want to sell tickets to your event.

  • Ticket Release Time Frame: Set when tickets will be available to access for your attendees.

  • Ticket Refund Solution: Set a refund policy for your event. This will be shown at the event page.

  • Maximum Tickets Per Order: Set the number of tickets available to purchase per order.

  • Maximum Checkout Per Account: Set the number of checkouts per account.

  • Maximum Ticket Redemptions: Set the number of times a ticket can be scanned at your event entrance.

  • Event Category: Select a category from the dropdown menu that best represents your event.

  • Promotional Label (Optional): Set which ticket category is the best - boost of ticket sales for that particular category.

  • Urgency Label (Optional): On or Off. With urgency label On, ticket buyers will be able to see the promotional label.

  • Sponsors (Optional): If you have any sponsors for your event, you can upload their logo that will appear on your event details page.

6. Select 'Create Event' to make your event live immediately and allow buyers to book tickets.

Note: You'll need to verify your details for your account before you can 'Create Event'.

Advanced Features / Manage & Promote Your Event:

Once your event page is created, you'll be able to access your event's Manage Page to access advanced settings that allow you to easily manage and promote your event.

On Your Event Day:

You can access our in-house Ticket Scanner to scan tickets and check-in attendees.
