RFH Auction runs via your web browser. This means you don’t need to install any separate software, but it does mean that your computer, monitor, keyboard and internet connection must be properly configured. With the right hardware and settings, you can avoid delays and buy reliably.

1. Web browser: how RFH Auction works best
RFH Auction runs in a web browser. We recommend using Google Chrome / Chromium. This performs better than other browsers.
Important:
Ensure your browser, operating system and drivers are always up to date
Do not use any additional windows or overlays over the clock (such as notifications or other programmes) whilst buying
2. Computer (laptop or desktop)
Use a modern computer as standard. A processor that is too old or underpowered can cause delays.
Recommended minimum specifications:
Processor: minimum Intel i5 or AMD Ryzen 5
RAM: 16 GB (minimum DDR4)
Operating system: Windows 11, always with the latest updates
Age: maximum 5 years old
Tip: when purchasing a new workstation, do not choose entry-level models. A slightly more powerful processor ensures a more stable purchasing experience.
3. Monitor: more important than you think
The monitor plays a major role in fast and enjoyable buying.
Recommended specifications:
Resolution: minimum 1920 x 1080 (Full HD)
A monitor with a higher refresh rate (e.g. 120 Hz)
Support for Variable Refresh Rate (VRR). For example, G-Sync, FreeSync or universal.
Please note!
Are you using a 240 Hz screen? Then you’ll also need a faster computer.
4. Keyboard
Speed is important when buying games, and the keyboard plays a key role in this!
We recommend using a keyboard with:
Very low input lag (under 5 ms)
1000 Hz polling rate
This ensures your actions are handled instantly.
5. Video connection (display cables)
Make sure your computer, monitor and cables are compatible.
· Are you using HDMI? Ensure support for HDMI 2.1b and suitable cables.
· Are you using DisplayPort (DP)? Then ensure support for DP 1.4 and a suitable DP cable

The graphics card must support the chosen resolution and refresh rate
6. Internet and Network
A stable connection is crucial.
Our advice:
Use a wired internet connection (not Wi-Fi)
A stable connection of at least 100Mb/s is important
7. Firewall and security
A secure network is important, but certain things must be permitted to ensure the auction runs smoothly:
Ensure that STUN traffic is permitted through any firewalls. This is required for audio in RFH Auction
Ensure that NTP/time synchronisation is permitted and configured on the workstations; this is necessary to log in to Floriday. (Manual updating carries a risk when ‘Daylight Saving Time’ begins.)
Tip: check firewall and network rules in advance.
