The automation checks for eligible bookings based on check-in and check-out dates and sends a message if a home is available the day before arrival or after departure.
How to Enable Extend Stays Automation
Go to the Scheduler page from the top menu.
Click + Schedule Message to create a new automation message.
Add a name for your message (e.g., “Offer to Extend Stay - Late Check Out”).
Set the message to Active.
Set the Schedule Type to Extend.
Set Min and Max Gap nights.
Choose SMS or Email as the message type.
Under Extend, select:
Early Check-In if you want to offer early check-in or an extra night before arrival
Late Check-Out if you want to offer a late departure or additional night
Choose how many days before check-in or check-out the message should be sent (e.g., 2 days before check-in or 1 day before check-out)
Set the Send Day, Before and At the message should be sent.
Use tags to target messages to select properties, if desired.
Add your message content.
You can include macros like:
[FirstName] for the guest’s name
[PropertyId] for the name of the rental
[CheckIn] and [CheckOut]
Example message:
Hi [FirstName], your vacation is almost here! If you’d like to check in a day early, we may be able to accommodate you. Let us know!
Click Save.
Please ensure that you test this feature before activating the automation.
Notes:
Extend Stay messages will only send if there’s availability the day before or after the guest’s stay.
Messages will not be sent to canceled bookings or bookings that do not meet the criteria.
You must ensure bookings and availability data are up to date in RueBaRue.
