How to Setup Five Star Google Review

The Five-Star Review feature lets you address issues from unhappy guests before they leave a bad review.

Updated over a week ago

The Five-Star Review feature helps you catch unhappy guests before they leave a bad review, allowing you to resolve their concerns first. When guests have a great experience, you can encourage them to leave a positive review on sites like Google. This helps you highlight exceptional guest experiences and build credibility.

1. Create a Survey

Set up a survey to collect feedback from guests who rate their stay four stars or less.

A sample survey is already included in your account.

2. Create a Scheduled Message

In the Scheduler, create a new scheduled message that includes the [FiveStarLink] macro.

A sample message is available in your account.

Sample Message:

Thank you for staying with us. How would you rate your experience at [Rental]? [FiveStarLink]

3. Configure Five-Star Review Settings

  • Add the review site URLs (Google, Yelp, etc.) where you want guests to leave a review if they give a five-star rating

  • In the bottom dropdown, select “4 Star and Below Survey”

  • Click Save

4. How It Works

When guests receive the rating message and click the link, they’ll see a screen with five stars:

  • If they select five stars, they’ll be prompted to leave a public review on one of the sites you added

  • If they select four stars or below, they’ll be taken to the internal survey you created to collect feedback

5. Finding Your Google Review Link

  • Go to your Google Business Profile and click Manage Now

  • Scroll halfway down the page

  • On the right side, click “Get Reviews” to copy your review link
