Swift partners with Stripe to provide seamless online payment processing - making it easier for you to manage your facility's finances. By connecting your Swift account with Stripe, you can easily manage memberships (subscriptions), one-time payments, and get detailed financial reports.
Here, we'll walk you through the benefits, setup process, and key features of our Stripe integration.
Benefits of Integrating Stripe
Integrating Stripe with Swift brings several advantages:
Streamlined Payments: Automate one-time or recurring billing (for memberships & subscriptions) for uninterrupted access to your facilities.
Enhanced Security: Benefit from Stripe's industry-leading security measures to protect your transactions & detect fraud.
Real-Time Reporting: Access real-time financial data within your Stripe Dashboard to make informed decisions on your business.
Point of Sale Terminal: Accept payments in-person with the Stripe POS Terminal
Important Notes
Swift integrates with Stripe to process card payments, but they are two distinct platforms — actions taken in Stripe do not automatically reflect in Swift.
Think of it this way: Stripe handles the processing and movement of money for any transactions that were paid with card, while Swift is where you should handle your operations and where most of your business data lives.
Anything you create or manage in your Stripe dashboard stays in Stripe, and does not necessarily mean it will get synced and show up in your Swift account.
However, any card payments processed directly on the Swift platform, will show as a payment in Stripe.
What this means in practice
Invoices — Creating an invoice directly in Stripe, this invoice will not appear in Swift. It's recommended that if you are creating an invoice for a customer, to create the invoice directly in Swift so that it's tracked properly in Swift.
Payments — Processing a payment in Stripe will not sync the transaction to your Swift account. Payments should be processed through Swift so they're recorded against the correct booking or invoice.
The general rule: If you want something to appear in Swift, do it in Swift.
