How we track user interactions with your listing

What We Track

We automatically collect data about how users interact with your listing to help you understand your visibility and engagement. Here's what we track:

Search Appearances

  • Every time your listing appears in search results

  • The position of your listing in results (e.g., #1, #2, etc.)

  • Page number where your listing appears

  • Search context:

    • Location (city, state, coordinates)

    • Search radius

    • Any applied filters

    • Search path (e.g., "/rv-repair/missouri")

Profile Views

  • When someone views your full listing profile

  • The path they took to reach your profile

  • Session-based tracking to distinguish unique views

Contact Information Engagement

We track when users:

  • Click to view your contact information

  • Click your email address

  • Click your phone number

  • Click your website link

Privacy & Data Collection

  • We don't track interactions from:

    • You (the listing owner)

    • Your listing managers

    • Admin users

  • Duplicate interactions within 5 minutes are filtered out

  • For authenticated users, we track their role (e.g., USER, VISITOR)

  • For anonymous visitors, we use a session ID to track unique interactions

Data Usage

This data helps you:

  • Understand your listing's visibility in search results

  • Track which search areas bring the most views

  • Measure engagement with your contact information

  • Make informed decisions about your listing optimization

Data Retention

  • Interaction data is stored securely in our database

  • Each interaction includes:

    • Timestamp

    • Action type

    • Session ID

    • User role (if applicable)

    • Relevant metadata about the interaction
