How we display provider badges on RV Help

Overview

RV Help displays qualification badges on provider listings to help customers quickly identify verified, certified, and qualified providers. To maintain a clean, scannable interface, we limit the number of badges shown and prioritize them based on importance to customer decision-making.

General Badge Display Rules

Badge Limits

  • Listing Cards (Search Results): Maximum of 3 badges displayed

  • Listing Detail Pages: Shows 3 badges initially with a "Show more" button to expand and view all available badges

Badge Priority Order

Badges are displayed in the following priority order (highest to lowest):

  1. Certification Badges (Highest Priority)

    1. NRVIA Inspector Certification (for RV Inspection category)

    2. RVTAA Technician Certification (for RV Repair category)

    3. RVTI Technician Certification (for RV Repair category, if RVTAA not available)

  1. Insurance Badge

    1. Displayed when provider has verified insurance

  2. Background Check Badge

    1. Displayed when provider has completed background check verification

  3. Responsiveness Badge

    1. Displayed for Highly Responsive or Responsive providers

    2. Not shown for providers with "Not Responsive" status

    3. New providers may show "New Provider" badge

  1. Verification Badge

    1. Displayed for RV Help Verified providers (on detail pages only)

  1. Paid Member Badges (Detail pages only, when viewer is a paid member)

    1. Free Troubleshooting badge

    2. Member Discount badge

How Priority Works

The system evaluates badges in priority order and adds them until the maximum limit is reached. For example:

  • If a provider has Certification + Insurance + Background Check + Responsiveness, only the first 3 will show on cards (Certification, Insurance, Background Check)

  • If a provider only has Insurance + Background Check, both will display

Certified Pro Badge Display (Q1 2026)

Important: Providers with Certified Pro status have a special badge display rule.

Certified Pro Display Rules

  • Certified Pro providers show ONLY the Certified Pro badge

  • No other qualification badges are displayed for Certified Pro providers

  • This applies to both listing cards and detail pages

Why This Rule Exists

The Certified Pro badge represents the highest level of verification and qualification on RV Help. It indicates that a provider has:

  • Completed in-person verification

  • Verified insurance

  • Completed background check

  • Achieved Certified or Master Certified RVTAA status

  • Maintains a 4.75+ rating with verified reviews

  • Maintains Highly Responsive status

Since Certified Pro encompasses multiple qualifications, displaying individual badges would be redundant. The Certified Pro badge alone communicates the provider's comprehensive qualification status.

For Providers

What This Means for Your Listing

  1. Your most important qualifications will always be visible - Certification badges take priority

  2. Complete your profile - More qualifications mean better badge representation

  3. Maintain responsiveness - Responsive providers may see their responsiveness badge displayed

  4. Certified Pro status - If you achieve Certified Pro status, only that badge will display (representing all your qualifications)

How to Improve Your Badge Display

  • Complete certification training (RVTAA, RVTI, or NRVIA)

  • Verify your insurance information

  • Complete background check verification

  • Maintain high responsiveness to customer leads

  • Complete RV Help verification process

  • Work toward Certified Pro status for the highest visibility
