Challenge 25

When you deliver any age-restricted items, you might be required to check a customer's age through the Ryde app or the app of the client you are working for.

If the Customer Looks Under the Age of 25

Please check their ID and input their birthday to check for their age. Once this is verified, you may complete the delivery.

If the customer's age cannot be verified

You will be required to remove the age-restricted items from the bag. In most cases, a return route will automatically be added to your delivery so that you can return the age-restricted items. You can deliver the rest of the package.

If this happens and you are working with one of our clients, please ensure you report this incident to the manager when returning to the store.

If you believe an adult has ordered alcohol for consumption by anyone under 18, refuse delivery and follow the steps above.

If the Customer looks over the age of 25

You can complete the delivery as normal!

What happens if I don't follow Challenge 25?

It is against the law to sell an age-restricted item to anyone under the legal age. Doing so risks prosecution and a fine starting at £90 for yourself, plus a £20,000 fine for the client.

You should not deliver the order without contacting Customer Support if the end customer is not of legal age, or if you were unable to verify their age.
