Our Pay is Fairer

At Ryde, you are paid based on the distance you travel and the time it takes you to travel that distance. Our algorithm calculates the distance using Google Maps and we use average speeds for different vehicle types to determine fair rates attributed to the timeliness of deliveries.

It is important to note that we are different from many other delivery platforms that will pay you on a 'per drop' basis. We do not think that this is fair. It is not fair because in the per drop system the companies create 'delivery bands' within which you are paid.

For example - it is common to see any deliveries within a range of 0.5miles-1.5miles paid at around £4-5. In this scenario, whether you travel 0.5mile for the delivery of up to 1.5miles you are paid the same. At Ryde, we believe it is unfair to ask you to travel triple the distance for the same pay. That's why we pay you at a consistent rate no matter how short or long the drop is.

When you ride with us you can be confident your pay always reflects the distance you travel.
