Ryde has now separated our assignments into 2 categories; on-demand & scheduled work and shift work. For all on-demand & scheduled work, we offer our jobs on a Contractor basis, for all shift work you are engaged on a Worker basis. This is outlined in detail in the Supplier of Courier Services agreement that you have accepted within the Ryde app. This is good news for you! It gives you complete flexibility to choose whether you wish to work on contractor jobs or workers jobs.

Contractor jobs are not subject to holiday pay and pension assessments. Please note, that any amounts earned still have to be declared to HMRC and any taxes paid.

Worker jobs are subject to holiday pay and pension assessments. Please note that once you reach the threshold for pension auto-enrolment we will deduct the pension contributions of 5% from your pay. You still have to declare the amount earned to HMRC and pay the relevant taxes.

You can filter your past jobs by contractor or worker from within the Job & pay history page.
