What is the issue?

Slow loading times mean lower conversion rates and higher bounce rates, as users are more likely to go to a competitor rather than wait for your page to load. Page performance, including page speed, is also a ranking factor in Google.

How to fix

There are a number of reasons why a page might be loading slowly. Compressing images on the page will speed up loading times. For a more detailed analysis of the reasons why a page is loading slowly, PageSpeed Insights can help. Learn more about this in our wiki and magazine.

Use Google Analytics data to find which pages receive the highest amount of sessions, and prioritize these pages. Slow pages can cause a poor onsite experience, higher bounce rates, and lower conversion rates. Learn more in this article.
