What is the issue?

When URLs contain special characters such as $-_.*!โ€™(), browsers might not be able to locate the page. This means that users also may not be able to access the page.

How to fix

Change your URL to remove the special characters. Set up a 301 redirect to redirect the old URL to the new URL.

Use Google Analytics data to find which URLs with special characters receive high amounts of sessions, and use this data to prioritize your optimizations. Learn more in this article.
